Our Mission
The mission of the Columbus High Alumni Association is to:

Serve as a liaison between alumni, friends of education, and Columbus High School.

Promote loyalty, knowledge and support of Columbus High, its programs, and its continued educational excellence.

Encourage alumni association growth, camaraderie, and spirit through unity of purpose.
Our Story
In early 2008, a small group of dedicated alumni began meeting with school officials to establish an alumni organization. Together they organized a steering committee of alumni from several classes to form the official Columbus High School Alumni Association in 2009.
To date, the Alumni Association has donated more than $250,000 to CHS. We also have an endowment fund which will allow the organization to support CHS in perpetuity.
The CHSAA supports its mission through several channels, including:
Student Support

Funds the annual PSAT fees

Funds Naviance college planning and readiness software

Purchases technology enablers (e.g. software subscriptions, graphing calculators)

Provides student fees for students needing financial support
Teacher Support

Awards the annual "Spirit of Columbus High" for faculty

Funds the Teacher Assistance Program

Sponsors the Faculty & Staff Start-of-Year breakfast & shirts

Funds the Faculty tailgate
Scholarships

Manages the Morton A. Harris Leadership scholarship

Manages the Jeff Koon Scholarship

Awards CHSAA Scholarships - 4 students over 4 years

Awards one-off scholarships (e.g. class reunion funded)

The CHS Alumni association is run by a small, but mighty group of volunteers. This group serves the Alumni Association's mission to support Columbus High School

Johnny Luse '96
President
Johnny is dedicated to his community and donates his personal time to youth soccer organizations. He also enjoys cycling and running. His purpose with CHSAA is to help association make a positive impact on future graduates.
He currently resides in Columbus, GA with his family.

Doug Sagal '78
Vice President I
Doug is a proud supporter of Columbus High, always eager to attend events and cheer on the students. When he's not flying high as a pilot, you can find him engaging with the school community and making lasting memories.

Luke Paul '17
Vice President II
Luke is the most recent CHS graduate on the board. While he is actively involved in all of the Board's work, he is especially integral to communications with the faculty and staff.
He currently resides in Columbus, GA.

Anne Hoff '04
Treasurer
Anne is a third-generation CHS alumni with her grandfather, mother, and father as graduates as well as numerous aunts and uncles. She is carrying on her father's dedication to the CHSAA as a second-generation treasurer.
She currently resides with her family in Atlanta, GA.

Bianka Huling
Secretary
Bianka is a seasoned corporate communications and marketing professional who has been actively involved with CHSAA for several years.
She currently resides in Columbus, GA
